Eid Al Adha
InshaAllah, Eid Al Adha will be Thursday, January 20. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than the (first) ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah” (Ad-Daarimi). These are the 10 days before Eid Al Adha.
What great virtues and what a great season! What an opportunity this is to collect greater rewards than that of Jihaad, which is the best deed after sound belief and punctual Salaah (prayer). This season represents a wonderful opportunity for those who want to compete in collecting rewards and a miserable loss for the idle, who shun such opportunities.
Fast as much as possible during these 10 days, especially on the day of ARAFAH (January 19), and do other good deeds such as: Increasing our prayers, Reciting Quran, giving Charity (and performing Hajj if you are able, and sacrificing a sheep on the Eid Day).
