Peace at Home Thrift Store Volunteer Day

SubhanAllah! Saturday, September 10, we spent some time at the Peace at Home Thrift store as volunteers (and we did some shopping too!). The thrift store, an aspect of the Fayetteville Women's Shelter, helps victims of domestic violence by generating funds to help them pay rent or utility deposits or other needs, and also the donations are available to them for items or clothing they may need. Often women and children who suffer in an abusive situation may have to leave with only the clothes on their backs, the battered women's shelter provides them with a place to stay while they put their lives back together & helps them in their efforts to obtain work, housing, counseling or other needs.
